About Aftersocks™

Aftersocks™ NZ is a Rural Women New Zealand (RWNZ) campaign that supports rural people, groups and communities, following an adverse event or natural disaster that disrupts their lives, leaving them in need of financial assistance.

Proceeds from the sale of each pair of Aftersocks™ contributes to the Rural Women New Zealand Adverse Events Relief Fund.

The Concept

Aftersocks™ was conceived by Cantabrians Justine and Jo Ottey in conjunction with Rural Women New Zealand, following the 2010/2011 Canterbury earthquakes. By 2012 the Aftersocks™ campaign had donated over $130,000 to the Christchurch Mayoral Fund to support earthquake victims.

To date over 21,000 pairs of socks have been sold.
